Halloween

Only one more school parade then we won't have anymore elementary kids to go watch. Makes me sad but it's also so fun to see the kids growing up. Britney went with Cora, Brielle went with Oakley, Brynlee went to a party with her friends, and Brooklyn had a party at our house. Busy and fun night!

 

Brayden October Pics

Here are pics from Brayden's mission this month. He finally got to the field and while it's not quite as he expected, he is rolling with it. He is opening a brand new area with a native missionary so he is struggling with communicating with him. They didn't have an apartment ready for them so they had to sleep on the floor for a week while they waited for beds. And they didn't have a fridge or stove or money to buy food so they barely ate for days. It's been a rough start but hoping that it starts getting better!

 

Trunk or Treat

Ward trunk or treat! It was fun that the girls didn't have dance on Wednesdays this year so they were able to come and enjoy it. 

 

Jazz Game

Josh got invited to attend the Jazz game in the Nicholas suite. I don't think they realized he doesn't work there anymore, but it ended up being a lot of fun!

 

Brewer Halloween Party

It's now become a tradition for our family to do themed Halloween costumes that everyone has to try to guess. This year our theme was "Disneyland Rides". Finding Nemo, Small World, Splash Mountain, Winnie the Pooh, Star Tours, and Matterhorn. Once people started realizing we were rides at Disneyland it got a lot easier to guess each person. It was a lot of fun!

 

Blessings

I had to post this. Josh left his job at Nicholas in July. It's been a rough transition but it's been the biggest blessing to our family. It took a lot of prayers and a big leap of faith. This trip to Newport was the first one Josh has been on without the stress of Nicholas hanging over him. Now when he is on vacation he really is on vacation. The top pic on this post was 1 year ago on the same beach. He always had to have his laptop with him and that's how he enjoyed his afternoon...under a towel punching orders. This year? No laptop. Just a nice nap in the sun on the beach. Really...what a difference one year can make.

Our non beach day. We headed to the little arcade place and the kids had a blast playing all the games and winning prizes. We walked down the pier, got shakes, and ended the evening at our favorite Italian place.

Another fun day at the beach! Brooklyn had drill so she flew out today and joined us for the evening.
