Harry’s Homecoming

It was our primary program so Josh and Britney couldn't miss our ward. But the rest of us were able to head up to Idaho for Harry's homecoming. He did an amazing job and it was fun for all the cousins to hang out. It was a long day as we drove up, attended the farewell and luncheon, then drove home all in one day. But it was worth it.

 

Cougarette Intensive

Brooklyn is working hard to be ready to try out to be a Cougarette. She signed up for the Coug Intensive where they start recruiting girls to be on their team. She loved the classes and also did her solo for them and got critiques. Any time in front of the coaches is helpful! Brynlee also attended and loved it!

 

Hoco

We were out of town for Hoco, but luckily Addie's mom was able to take pics for me. Brooklyn had a great time even if she didn't really know her date. She said it was one of the funnest dates she's ever been on and laughed the whole night.

 

Lake Powell

Another amazing Lake Powell trip! We are really liking these September trips. Less people on the lake, beautiful weather, and the water is still warm. We had a great group on the houseboat and Josh and I loved cooking all the food for them. 

 

Senior Year

I can't believe Brooklyn is a senior already! She is living her best life and we love watching it all. It's awesome that the school highlights these athletes and showcases them for all their hard work and how the represent Bingham. It's been fun to see Brooklyn's poster hanging on the fence this year!

 

Painting with Grandma

Brielle texted my mom and asked if they could have a painting day. So my mom came over and they spent the afternoon painting!

 

Mini Minerettes

We look forward to the Mini Minerette clinic every year! The girls had a lot of fun! Britney met Hazel... the Minerette's new coach's daughter. Neither of them had a friend at the clinic so they hung out together. Hopefully they have an 8 year friendship as they both want to be Minerettes!

Team Dinners

All 3 of the girls have team dinners that rotate through the moms. It's awesome bc that means I feed them once every 2 months and the other moms take care of them the rest of the time. It's a lot of work but easier for me to do all the teams on the same night. It worked out to bring the girls to my house and have a pancake bar...which they absolutely loved. 

 

BYU Game

We decided to only do 3 season tickets this year since Brayden will be gone. Which just means that the girls all fight for the third ticket. Luckily it is working out and the will all get to go to a couple of games. It's helpful that Brielle has friends that invite her! Rheyce invited Brielle to this game and Brooklyn was able to come with us. Another big win!

 

A Week of Lasts

It’s true what they said…sending a missionary off was the hardest best thing we’ve ever had to do.

This past week was a week full of “lasts” and it couldn’t have been a more perfect week for our family to close one chapter and for Brayden to start his next one. My heart is broken but I couldn’t be more proud of him and we are excited to hear of his experiences the next 2 years.

 

Saying Goodbye

We had to get up around 4am so we could head to the airport at 4:30. Man this was hard. We knew it would be hard but nothing ever prepares you to say goodbye to your child for 2 years. We cried. A lot. We lingered as long as we could then watched as Brayden headed to the security line. We cried the whole way home as well. It's going to be rough for a while I think.
