Minerette State Mirrors

The annual state mirror tradition! Unfortunately I had to be in Provo for Britney's solo competition with Intrigue but the other moms did a great job putting the mirrors together and I'm grateful for friends that take pics for me!

 

Intrigue - Provo

Intrigue!!! It always feels like coming home when we get to go to an Intrigue convention. We love the staff, faculty, and the dancers that follow this convention. The girls did a great job and really gave it their all. Brynlee took 3rd place with her solo, Brielle took 10th, and Britney took 2nd! Amazing job girls! Britney is already an apprentice and Brynlee is a True Performer so they aren't eligible for scholarships. Brielle worked SO hard and earned the second highest scholarship! She was hoping to get the Apprentice jacket so she was pretty crushed to come so close. Her best friend earned the jacket so it was bitter sweet for her. 

 

Solo Preview

Comp season is coming quick! It's nice to be able to do solos at the studio in front of judges prior to competing them. Getting feedback was great and getting a cute little crown is always fun!

 

Prodigy Galentines Party

Brit's team had a fun Galentine's party! Such cute girls!

 

Measuring

My kids all got their long legs from me and the only way to measure them is to sit against the wall and see whose legs are the longest lol. I can't remember where we all stack up but it sure was fun to sit and figure it out.

 

St. George Retreat

Josh and I headed down to St. George for a work retreat. It is always a lot of fun to spend time with this group, exchange ideas, and expand our vision. The highlight for us was renting e-bikes and going on a 2 hour bike ride through some amazing canyons. It was freezing cold but so pretty! I haven't been able to ride a bike for 20 years bc of my hip and back issues, so I was surprised that I was able to ride these with no problem!

 

Dance Comp - 24/7

Travel team always goes to an early convention but doesn't compete their team routines. They just do solos and the classes. 24/7 is a hard convention with top dancers from the state so it's typically a lot harder to place in solos and earn scholarships. Brynlee earned the highest ranking of Stop the Clock on her solo. She didn't place in the top 20 but she was close (this comp had over 100 teen soloists!) She also earned a jazz scholarship! Good job Bryn! Looks like she is going to have a great season with her solo!

 

Basketball - January

Brayden continues to tear it up this season! He is playing SO well and we love going to all his games. We had to miss one game while we were in St. George but luckily we got to stream it on the tv!
