Lake Powell - Petersons

Since we knew the Brewers couldn't stay the whole week in Lake Powell we invited the Petersons to join us after they left. What an epic rest of the week! We continued launching the boat every day and couldn't get enough of the beautiful water and scenery that only Lake Powell can provide. We lived up every minute and it was amazing! 

 

Lake Powell - Brewers

So we bought a boat. And now we need to learn how to drive it lol. We've gone out with Justin (our boat partner and my brother) a few times but we haven't hitched it to our car, haven't unloaded or docked it, haven't driven it, etc. We don't know anything lol. We planned a week in Lake Powell with the kids as our family vacation so we needed to figure it out! Luckily it worked out to spend the first half of the week with Justin's family. They hauled the boat down to Lake Powell and got it all ready. We rented a little house together and the fun began! Justin taught us all the things and we were surprised how easily we picked it all up. We launched the boat each day and spent the whole day on the lake. The kids surfed, cliff jumped, explored, tubed, and enjoyed what we now realize is heaven on earth. Phones were turned off and we all loved every minute of it. It was sad when the Brewers had to leave to head to California, but it was a memorable week and one we hope to replicate over and over again.
