End of School

Another year has ended! Like always the kids counted down the days for the end of school. Lots of parties, goodbyes, and fun!

 

Dance Auditions

As one year ends, another year begins. The girls invited other dancers to our house to practice the audition combos so they would be ready! They all crushed it and are excited for a new year to start!

 

Memorial Day/Anniversary

Our anniversary fell on Memorial Day today so of course we had a big bbq and party! We invited the Allmans over and it was a great evening! As for our anniversary, here is what I posted on Facebook:

Full circle moment.

In 1999 Josh asked me to prom while we were up the canyon looking over the valley. He then played the song “Truly, Madly, Deeply” from his car with the windows rolled down while we slow danced.

Who knew that 25 yrs later we would be sitting by the fire celebrating our 20th anniversary when the same song came on from our playlist.

There is no one I’d rather dance with on a mountain or sit with next to a fire. Happy 20th anniversary to the one that fulfills every word of that song.

 

Sojo Choir Concert

Brynlee had her last choir concert of the year. We rushed over from dance just in time for her to walk on stage and perform, then headed right back to dance afterwards. 

 

Brielle’s Birthday Party

We finally got to celebrate Brielle's birthday! She wanted a party with her school boy and girl friends and it was a lot of fun! They swam all night and although it's a lot crazier with boys in the pool it was a lot of fun!

 

Dance Recital

Karyn and I spent the entire year planning and getting ready for the recital. We were in charge this year and we were determined for it to be the best recital Empower has ever had! We chose the theme "Lights, Camera, Action!" and everything was centered around movies. We ordered backgrounds, balloons, cute decor, and put together an amazing production number with the entire studio. It was definitely a lot of stress and a lot of work but it turned out better than we could've hoped! 

 

Britney’s Birthday Party

We had to push Britney's party back 2 different times bc of random Wednesday afternoon storms. But we finally were able to have everyone over to celebrate her! It was fun to see all the girls running around playing together. 

 

Sleepy Girl

You know you have a teenager when your kid sleeps every chance they get. Brooklyn is quite often found asleep around the house. I love that she found a cozy spot on our bed swing. So peaceful outside. 

 

Mother’s Day

Always such a lovely day! Brayden made me crepes for breakfast which I always look forward to. We visited my mom after church then headed to the Ericson's house for dinner. It was nice to spend the day with so many wonderful people. 

 

Costume Animals

It's that time of year again! I spent the past few weeks working on these animals and they turned out so so cute this year! I loved the I found fabric to match each of the dresses in Brynlee's show number. It wasn't easy but they are now one of my favorites that I've done. The one's for Brielle also came together nicely and I loved the feathers on them. Britney's were extremely hard to figure out and I was up late all week trying to get them done. I almost started over with a different costume the day before the comp but I made it work and got them done.
