Halloween

Halloweens look very different than they used to. We don't have many kids in our neighborhood so trick or treating here hasn't been much fun for the kids. Half the houses are dark and I don't feel comfortable just letting the kids go around on their own so we have let our kids go with their friends the past couple of years. Brooklyn went to a party with all the sophomore Mineretttes, Brayden went to a party with his friends, Brynlee had friends here to swim and watch a movie as well as trick or treat a little bit, Brielle went to her friend Reece's house, and Britney went with Evelyn in her neighborhood. It turned out to be a quiet evening for Josh and I as we answered the door maybe 10 times throughout the night. 

 

Halloween Parade

It's not uncommon for my girls to have multiple costumes throughout the week of Halloween. Brielle went as a Balliwood dancer for the parade and Britney went as a creepy doll. Brynlee begged my to check her out of school half hour early so she and Aspen could come to the parade. They were fun to have around while we waited for the parade to start. Tobi and I took chairs and hung out while we waited and watched our kids.

 

Pre-Halloween Parties

Lots of fun Halloween activities. We went to Celeste's house for our family Sunday and spent the day trying to decide what to dress up as. We finally decided to go as Top Gun characters and we had a lot of fun coming up with fun ways of being the characters. 

The sophomores all dressed up as gatorades for school, Britney and Evelyn were creepy dolls for dance, Brielle's team dressed up as fairies for dance, and Brynlee's team were angels and devils. 

 

Sojo Intrigue

Convention #2! This time our studio hosted the Intrigue convention and it’s always fun to have them come here. The girls worked hard all weekend and it was fun that Brooklyn got to join this time.

Britney had SO much fun assisting again. It’s a lot of hard work without many breaks and she loved every minute of it. She gets treated like a little celebrity bc all the girls want to be an assistant like her. It's hard work but Brit killed it.

Brielle was in the junior group and learned a lot. She received the Inspire scholarship!

Brooklyn got to relax and just have fun learning as she already has the top scholarship and is a True Performer so she isn’t eligible for any other scholarships.

Brynlee had a fantastic weekend! We thought that since she just aged into the teen age group it would be a year or two before she would have a chance to become a True Performer, but she danced her heart out anyway and guess what?! She won the scholarship! We couldn’t believe it and she was completely shocked! She also took first runner up in the improv competition which was pretty cool too. Congrats bryn! She will be a TP for 3 yrs until she ages out.
