YW Talent Show

Now that I'm in YW I get to be involved in their activities on Wednesday nights. We had them all come to our house for talent show. It turned out to be a lot of fun and we loved seeing all the different talents the girls shared. There was poetry, art, dancing, basketball, piano playing, speaking in Chinese, burping, and cup stacking. (The pic of Brooklyn and Brynlee was the only one I got of them bc I forgot to snap a pic while they performed their duet for everyone,)

 

New DL and Permit

We've been needing to go get Brayden's driving permit ever since he turned 15 in November, but with basketball season, the holidays, then dance comp season it's been really hard to find a time that it would work. And since we waited so long it was time to get me a new DL since mine expires next month so when he had an ortho appt during school we decided to make a day of it and get it all done. We headed to the DMV first and got his permit and my license renewed. Then we hit Teriyaki Grill for lunch on our way to the ortho appt. It was fun to be with Brayden and of course he loved driving me around.

 

Grandpa’s Organ

For family Sunday we went to my parent's house for dinner. They were all enthralled with grandpa's organ and loved learning how to use it.

 

Ready to Go!

The girls had another dance competition this weekend. I heard Britney say, "Ok I'm ready to go!" and I turned around to find her looking like this. Seriously this girl can't get any cuter!

 

Cali with Brooklyn

Brooklyn is on the travel team this year so that meant we got to travel to California for an Intrigue convention. It was fun to be with her the whole weekend and not worry about any of the other girls. Brooklyn dance SO good and loved taking all the classes all weekend. We love these girls and their moms and had a blast hanging with them all weekend!

 

St Patricks Day

Lucky the Leprechaun is always so sneaky when he comes to our house. The girls built traps again like always but failed to catch him. He left some clues for them to find yummy treasures and the girls quickly ran around looking until they found it. 

 

Multicultural Celebration

I was recently released from being on the RS activities committee but they let me finish helping with the activity we had planned together. It was a multicultural celebration to celebrate the anniversary of the relief society. We had everyone bring displays from countries all over the world, had food brought from any country, and had a fashion show. It was a wonderful evening and I was blessed to be a part of it. I brought things from my mission in Brazil as well as stuff I had from going on tour with ballroom to Ukraine. Britney and I were asked to model some of the clothing and that turned out to be fun as well!

 

Joseph

This week for church we were studying the story of Joseph in Egypt from the Bible. There's no better way to teach the kids about that story then to watch Donny Osmond in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! We love that musical and all the kids know the music. It was fun to watch it as a family!

 

Forts

I love seeing how creative the girls get. Today it was all about forts and they spent hours building them all over the basement.
