Monday morning, Labor Day, we got up and took the kids swimming one last time. It was sad to pack up bc we've had so much fun, but it was bound to happen. We checked out but we were able to stay at the pool for an extra hour or two. Everyone headed home, but we planned on staying for an extra day bc the kids are off track. So we headed over to a friend's condo that let us stay the night there. It's on a golf course and has a beautiful view. They just bought it so it only had beds and appliances...no furniture. But that made it more fun for the kids to run around and play in. Britney took a quick nap while I went shopping then we headed out for dinner and some play time!
We went to the Fiesta Fun Center and went miniature golfing. We thought the kids would love it bc we haven't been in years...but we were SO wrong! We couldn't believe how many meltdowns each of the 3 older kids had. Josh and I just laughed and laughed (which made it worse) bc they each were having such a hard time bc they couldn't get a good score at every hole. Lol. They couldn't be happy for each other, they just had to beat each other. Multiple times we had to stop and talk to them about good sportsmanship as well as not being the best at everything...especially the first time you try something. We got sick of it and threatened to make them sit inside while we finished and they finally cheered up, slightly. On the other hand...Brielle was the absolute cutest. Every time she got it in the hole (even if it took her 10 tries) she would jump up and down yelling, "I won! I won!" It was adorable. She ended up going ahead of us and ran from hole to hole since we were basically the only ones on the course. She was in her own little world and loved every minute of it.
We all slept great and slept in. We quickly packed the car back up and headed out around lunch time. The drive home was great and we only stopped once for lunch! It was such a fun week and we can't wait to do it again!
