Pregnancy Update - 7 Weeks

Since we aren't planning on having any more kids after this one, I am obsessed with this pregnancy. I want to enjoy every minute so that I can have the closure I need after this baby comes and I won't have any regrets. Here I am at 7 weeks. Yes...only 7 weeks. In the morning I don't look pregnant, but by the end of the day it is quite apparent. I guess that's what happens when you have no abdominal muscles left to hold anything in :) So far I haven't been sick at all! Yay! Hopefully it continues that way!

1st Day of School!

After a quick summer, the kids were ready to head back to school. They were both excited to have new teachers. Brayden is heading into 2nd grade and Brooklyn is heading into 1st. Brooklyn is handling the switch to all day school well. She's pretty tired when she gets home, but is loving it!

Playing in the Rain

This summer has been strangely very wet. The kids have LOVED playing in the rain every single time it rains. The harder it rains the more fun they have. They have been collecting snails and have snail races too. Ugh. Whatever keeps them busy!

Cabin Trip - Days 3 & 4

We spent Saturday relaxing and playing and working at the cabin. After breakfast on Sunday we headed up to the old cabin and went hiking. It is always a fun and beautiful hike to the little lake. The kids threw rocks, sticks, and loved running around. We relaxed for the afternoon, then quickly packed up and headed home. It was a great trip, but it's always great to be home, especially with the kids starting school tomorrow!

Cabin Trip - Day 2

Friday we stayed at the cabin and hung out. I made strawberry crepes for breakfast bc it was Josh's birthday. We enjoyed the time with the Ericson's and ended up working outside and inside the cabin. The kids played and did a lot of crafts. We had cheesecake for Josh's bday and had fun celebrating his bday at the cabin.

Cabin Trip - Day 1

We've been planning another cabin trip with the Ericson's for the 24th of July. We headed up at about noon on Thursday and enjoyed the day and evening together. Everyone else was coming up on Friday, so it was nice and quiet with the kids. We hung out at the cabin then drove down to the little swingset in the evening. The sun was providing interesting lighting on the pictures, so we had a little photo shoot while there. 

Sadie's Birthday Party

Sadie had her 5th bday party at a fun splash pad. The kids loved it and even though it rained and was a little windy, they played and played all night!

Uh-Oh!

Brielle continues to grow and learn things way ahead of her age. She has recently learned how to climb onto our bar height chairs and hop on the table. She dances, lays down, and loves to eat anything left on it. We are in big trouble with this one!

Float Preview

We love going to see all the floats at the expo center every year. Kay and Steven came with us to Teriyaki Grill for dinner, then Mike and Natalie met us at the expo center. The kids had a lot of fun!

Grammy's Funeral

Ever since Josh's grandma had a stroke in 2010, her health has slowly declined. It has been hard to watch her as she gotten sicker and sicker. We were able to say our goodbyes a couple of times in the past few weeks. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday night. We went to the viewing on Sunday night and the funeral on Monday morning. It was a beautiful service and as sad as it is, it brings us so much peace and comfort knowing she is finally with her sweetheart again. During the luncheon, I ended up pulling Brayden's tooth out. He said it was the best day ever!
