The Lottery
My mom called me up and said that she was going to pay for my sister-in-law to buy each family a lottery ticket. I laughed and asked if she was serious. I couldn't believe that she was actually going to do it. All she wanted was for one day to have each of her kids escape reality and dream for a bit. It worked. It really was fun to dream about having money and what we would do with it. I didn't want the pressure of picking the numbers, so I wrote all the numbers on paper and let the kids toss checkers on it to pick our numbers. Out of the 6 families, we were the only ones to get a number right!

Brooklyn's Grandparent Day
My mom took Brooklyn to school to see how great Brooklyn is doing. Brooklyn loved showing grandma all the fun things she does. She especially loved doing the karaoke.

Brayden's Grandparent Day
The kids had grandparent day at preschool. Josh's parents got to go with Brayden to see how well he is doing in school. He was SO excited to take them with him and show him everything. Thanks Kay and Steve for your support!

Family Sunday
We had my family over for our monthly family Sunday. Josh made phily cheesesteak sandwiches and they were awesome. Here are all the kids eating and playing:
As soon as I realized Brynlee had the same jammies that Meg had, I had to change her and take pictures. And of course, all the other kids wanted to get in their jammies and take pictures as well.Posted by Shantelle at 3:15 PM 0 comments

Visiting Grandma & Fred
My grandma's husband is 91 and not doing too well. So we headed over to visit with them last week. They have an amazing backyard, and eventhough they have gotten too old to work on it, it is still beautiful and fun for the kids. Their fish pond is amazing, and we are always amazed at how many fish there are:

A Little More Winter
With the weather warming up, the kids have been asking for a picnic everyday. On one of the more chilly days, we thought it would be fun to have our picnic inside:
I had already gotten into bed when I remembered this idea I saw on Pinterest. I knew that this would probably be the last snowfall, so I hopped out of bed (at 1:30am!) and ran outside to make fun faces on my sister's car and her husband's. Posted by Shantelle at 9:58 PM 0 comments
Chick-Fil-A Open House
We were invited by our good friend Andrew Allman to the open house for the City Creek Chick-fil-a. He's the new owner/operator and we loved seeing the new restaurant before they opened. And of course the cow was there!
Thanks for the invite and good luck with the new place!Posted by Shantelle at 9:55 PM 0 comments

Date With Grandma & Grandpa
Brayden filled up his chore chart and earned his date with my parents. He knew for weeks that he was going to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point so he was very motivated to get all his tickets. On St. Patricks Day my parents came and picked him up for their date.
He had a blast looking at all the fun things. Digging for fossils:
Afterwards they stopped and got Mac and Chesse at the snack bar:
My parents took him to the gift shop to get a little souvenir. Brayden insisted on finding a T-Rex. After spending 15 minutes having fun in the gift shop looking for a T-Rex, my dad came around the corner with this stuffed T-Rex and Brayden fell in love. My dad and Brayden spent another 10 minutes playing in the gift shop with this T-Rex. He hasn't put it down since. He LOVES it! Thanks grandma and grandpa for a fun date!Posted by Shantelle at 9:48 PM 0 comments
Happy St. Patricks Day
We must be on the bottom of the leprechaun's list of houses because they never make it to our house until the afternoon. Let's just say...we're not morning people :) So when the leprechaun finally made it, the little sneaky guy left a little treasure hunt for the kids. They loved running around and looking for the clues and treasure. Here they are waiting to begin:
The kids LOVED that he left little footprints on the counter. Sneaky little guy!
They could not get over how cool it was that he used the potty. And at last they found the treasure:
