Josh's brother Michael and his wife Natalie had a precious little girl on Jan 23. We finally have a cousin!!! Josh and I were able to visit them at the hospital that day, although I forgot my camera. I took the kids over 4 days later and we were able to get some pictures. I can't believe how little she is! And I really can't believe that Brynlee was that little just 3 months ago! Time is going by way too quickly.

Sharing is Good, Right?!
After Brooklyn's dance class we ran a few errands, one of which was to Michael's craft store. The kids were hungry and whining, so I promised them that if they were good in the store I would buy them each a sucker to eat after lunch. My mistake was letting them carry the suckers around the store. Brooklyn dropped hers and it broke, which resulted in her freaking out. So we walked to the front of the store to get her a different one. 5 minutes later while we were at the back of the store again, Brayden decided to use his sucker like a sword and have a sword fight with Brooklyn. Before I could even tell them to stop, Brooklyn's sucker was again on the floor, shattered into pieces. Once again we go to the front of the store to get another sucker. We finally made it home, had lunch, then the kids got to eat their suckers. I turned around to find this going on:
I guess it's nice that they wanted to share, but I cringe thinking about how easily they'll get each other sick. Luckily they didn't get sick! (And yes, I made them do it again so I could get a picture.)

Little Dancer
I've waited so long for my little girl to be big enough to start dance. She's still pretty little, but thought we'd give it a try. A couple of my friends have their little 2 yr olds in a dance class taught at a gymnastics gym. We went a few weeks ago for our free lesson. Brooklyn was pretty shy, but considering it was her first time in this type of atmosphere I assumed she would be. The last part of the class they went into the gymnastics area and did 10 minutes of gymnastics. As soon as we walked in there she finally left my side and loved it. I couldn't believe the difference between the dance and gymnastics for her. I realized that right now she would love a gymnastics class so much more than dance. I'm sad that I won't get to hang out with my friends each week, but I feel better about finding a gymnastics class instead. Brooklyn loves her little dance outfit. She's SO cute!!!

Indoor Fun
We've been in transition for quite some time. As soon as we finished the major renovations on our house we started moving out of the basement. The beds were the last thing to get moved up. So for about a week we had all our bathroom/shower stuff upstairs as well as all our clothes. Which would be fine except we were still sleeping in the basement. Let's just say I'm not a fan of climbing 2 flights of stairs all day long! The day we decided to move up the mattresses I had a brilliant idea to let them use them as a slide. They loved it!

Silly Boy
I feel SO blessed that Brayden still takes naps during the day. He'll usually play on his bed for about 15 minutes before falling asleep. I went in to wake him up and this is what I found: I can't even imagine what he was doing or thinking as he fell asleep.

Brynlee's Blessing
We blessed Brynlee on Jan. 2. We realized earlier in the week that there was no way to get everything done that we wanted to for the blessing. So we tried to do what we could and hoped everyone didn't mind coming over to a house that was under construction and had no carpet anywhere and tape/plastic everywhere. Here's the best picture that kinda shows the status of our house. The good thing, however, is that we didn't have 60 people walking on our new carpet that came 4 days after the blessing.
The 2 grandmas:
Josh's parents:
Our little family:
Our little princess:
Rachael and Brynlee. A lot of Josh's family thinks that Brynlee looks like Rachael. Good thing Rachael is cute!
Shelly and Sean with Brynlee:
So precious:
It might be hard to tell, but she loved this.
